Instead of passing a Climate Change policy bill before the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cophenhagen this Dec…why doesnt the US delegation show up in SurvivaBall’s? The Senate has been heavily distracted as of recent with health care reform debate. Many think that the Senate will not be able to get a Climate Bill passed this year even though the House has already passed its version. One of these doubters is majority leader Harry Reid. Senator’s Barbara Boxer D-Calif and John [...] Yesterday Seattle hosted the last of only two public EPA hearings on climate change at pier 66 on the Seattle waterfront. The hearings were designed to allow public comment on the impact of global warming and pollution to public health and welfare. This April 22nd is Earth Day! Seattle has roots in the creation of this day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. In 1969 at a conference in Seattle, US Senator Gaylord Nelson announced that in the following spring their would be a grassroots demonstration designed to draw attention to the environment and protecting the planet. In less than 4 days over 10,000 youth leaders will converge on Washington D.C. for the Power Shift 09 conference. This will mark the largest climate change lobbyist group to ever assemble in US history.
